# Overview

$IGRA is the native utility token of the Igra Network. It secures the protocol via attester staking and governs on-chain parameters via Igra DAO.

Max supply is hard-enforced in the token contract. No upgrade path, no owner, no pause.

## Utility

* **Attesting** — Attesters stake $IGRA to participate in Igra-to-Kaspa state verification and receive protocol-level incentives and fee participation
* **Governance** — $IGRA governs security-critical parameters via [Igra DAO](/igralabs-docs/igra-dao.md), including attestation rules, reward rates, and protocol fees
* **Future** — Securing bridges, additional execution environments, and preferential access to network resources
